Georg Schneider (1759-1843)

• Georg Schneider was the son of Simon Schneider, a stable servant in the Electoral Life Guard of Mainz, and his wife Agnes.
• He moved to Aschaffenburg in 1802.
• His brother Johann Caspar Schneider was also a painter.
• Georg Schneider`s works have been auctioned off multiple times, with realized prices varying according to the size and medium of the artwork, for instance of 1915.07 USD for An extensive Rhine landscape near Bingen in 2010.
• Deceased in Aschaffenburg.
