Jan Mandijn or Jan Mandyn (c.1500 –c.1560)

• Was a Dutch Renaissance painter.
• He worked in Antwerp after 1530.
• Mandijn trained in Haarlem.
• Only one signed work of Mandijn survives, the Temptation of Saint Anthony (Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem).
• He was the teacher of Jan van der Elburcht, Gillis Mostaert and Bartholomeus Spranger.
• He died in Antwerp.
• The displayed painting is a crop from: Saint Christopher and the Christ Child, c. 1550.
