Pierre Gaudreau (1698–1731)
• Was a French portraitist painter.
• Often recorded as Pierre-Louis Goudreaux, Gaudreaux.
• Born in Paris.
• He specialized in royal portraits and figure paintings during the Rococo period.
• After 1712, Gaudreau studied with the latter at the Paris Academy.
• He spent his later working life in Mannheim, Germany, where he died in 1731.
• He is known for his time serving as the court portraitist for the Elector Palatine in Mannheim, Germany.
