• Was a Czech art connoisseur, advisor and hofmeister of Czech nobles.
• He came from a prominent Prague family, the Kreisinger family, who belonged to the bourgeois patriciate with a coat of arms (i.e. the city nobility).
• In his youth, he undertook the so-called cavalier journey (Grand Tour) to Rome (around 1700).
• There, he had his portrait painted by Jan Kupecký, which shows his cultural and social ambitions.
• In the surviving records, he is mentioned as an artist, soldier or clergyman - he was rather an aristocrat and courtier, whose role consisted in representing the family and maintaining social status.
• He was a friend with Václav Vavřinec Reiner.
• The displayed painting is a crop from Jan Kupecký, Portrait of Michael Kreisinger of Eckersfeld in his youth, 1700.
