Francesco Terzio (or Gian or Giovanni Francesco Terzio), ca. (1523-25 – ca. 1591)

• Was an Italian painter of the Renaissance period.
• He was born in Bergamo.
• He was a pupil of Giovanni Battista Moroni.
• He was invited and appointed painter to the court of the Emperor Maximilian II in Vienna.
• Terzi passed the greater part of his life in Germany, but died in Rome.
