Nicolaes Lachtropius (1640 – 1700)

• Was a Dutch Golden Age flower painter.
• According to the RKD he was a flower still life painter who followed Otto Marseus van Schrieck.

• He worked in Amsterdam, The Hague and in Leiden.

• Between roughly 1673 and 1689, Lachtropius is documented as residing in Alphen aan den Rijn, a town situated between Leiden and Utrecht.

• He was last recorded as a merchant there in 1700.
