Antonio Lesma (ca. 1666-1729)

• Also called Lexma.
• Was an Italian painter and engraver.
• He was Neapolitan origin, but probably born in Milan.
• Lesma was the nephew of the Flemish painter Livio Mehus (1630-1691), and his artistic training must have taken place with this relative.
• In fact, he stayed with his uncle for some time in Milan and then in Florence - the city where Mehus lived for a long time.
