• Was a Swedish colonel, quartermaster-general, cartographer and painter-etcher.
• He was the son of Jakob Krail von Bemebergh, Colonel and Commandant of Ulm, and Magdalena von Neipperg.
• G. G. Kraill von Bemeberg probably entered the Swedish service as an engineer around 1620.
• Drew up plans for the Siege of Riga in 1621 and received the title of Field Quartermaster in 1622.
• After 1625 he calls himself a visitator (markscheider or mine surveyor).
• Worked in Swedish service in Prussia and Pomerania until 1630 when he was engaged at home due to illness.
• In Sweden, he holds the rank of quartermaster general until 1636, when he retires.
• He was naturalised as a Swedish nobleman in 1634 and owned the estates of Ökna and Mora farm in Södermanland.
• At Skokloster Castle there are about twenty portraits, including a self-portrait, made by G. G. Kraill von Bemberg, as well as about thirty copper prints and drawings.
• His artistic output consists mainly of fortress plans, geometric figures and architectural drawings.
