• Frangipane was born in Padua.

• His pictorial production has been documented since 1563, when he painted for the church of Sant'Eufenia in Mazzorbo, the island of the Venetian lagoon. • In the church of San Bartolomeo in Padua is a depiction of St Francis of Assisi (1588); and at Pesaro, an altar-piece in San Stefano in Pesaro.
• Among his masterworks is an Assumption, in the church of the Conventuali, at Rimini.
• The artist was active in Venice from 1563 until 1597.
• He was included in the Guild of painters of Venice in 1564.
• He died in 1597, and his last certain work is Autumn, which is now in the Civic Museum of Udine.
