Museo Nacional De Arte Decorativo
Buenos Aires, Argentina

The National Museum of Decorative Art, in the City of Buenos Aires, is located in what was a private residence, so it constitutes a house-museum. Its collection is made up of more than 6000 pieces, including sculptures, paintings, tapestries, weapons, books, ceramics, furniture and miniatures, mainly European and Oriental, from the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries.

Some of the outstanding pieces are the European miniatures from the 16th to the 20th centuries exhibited in the Family Room, the oil on canvas Jesus with the cross on his back painted by El Greco, the sculptures of the French artist Auguste Rodin and the bronze clock that was a wedding gift for Kings Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
