Camillo Boccaccino (1505 - 1546)
• Was an Italian painter and draughtsman.
• Active mainly in Cremona and the region of Lombardy.
• He was born in Cremona, the son of the painter Boccaccio Boccaccino and Adriana di Farfengo.
• He trained with his father first, and in around 1525 Boccaccino went on to study in Venice.
• Although he worked mainly in his native city, Boccaccino also executed other works in Piacenza.
• He also left a number of drawings.
• He became the founder of the Mannerist style in painting in the Po valley.
